ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a sales manager to join our team in Oberhausen. In this role you would be responsible for executing the Hartree sales strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with trading desks regarding product sourcing for marketing departments to ensure product availability in line with Hartree Germany’s sales strategy
- Commercial optimization of product flows at the warehouse locations operated by Hartree Germany
- Continuous improvement and management of the marketing strategy together with the desks of the retail / wholesale department
- Planning and implementation of regional procurement including price and quantity control and purchasing and sales coordination
- Monthly monitoring and controlling the volume flow of the various sales channels for the respective region, taking into account logistical possibilities, volume availability and obligations in cooperation with line managers with regard to optimizing the sales result and transparent presentation of market and price developments
- Support of sales to B2B and coordination of special deals
- Negotiating and concluding sales contracts with market participants for spot and forward transactions. This includes barges, trains and truck lots
- Communication of local market knowledge in internal discussions within the trading departments in order to optimize the movement of goods around the warehouses
- Continuous improvement and management of the marketing strategy together with the trading and wholesale desks
- Collecting regional market data and information and preparing supply reports
- Various month-end closing activities
- Support of the organization (volume planning, preparation of acquisitions, regional marketing/promotions, provision of information on the course of business, handling of tank farms, individual administrative activities)
- Maintaining close cooperation with our colleagues in Hamburg and London
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is essential
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a marketing position, preferably in the German energy products market
- Experience with logistics and delivery operations in Germany and Northern Europe
- Experience in the field of renewable energies would be highly advantageous
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Entrepreneurial spirit and performance driven, with a growth mindset
- Ability to display applied knowledge in the working environment
- Ability to work independently is required with a capacity to thrive in a team setting
- Should possess the skills to work in an organized and disciplined manner displaying initiative and proactive management of responsibilities and challenges
- Analytical thinking skills are required with a natural propensity for improving processes and inefficiencies
