suena, short for sustainable energy applications, is a green tech startup specializing on energy trading software for Energy Storage Systems. The focus lies on maximizing profits and reducing risks on short-term electricity and balancing markets for grid-scale energy storage asset owners through our AI-based optimization and trading software.
Purpose of the role
As a Sales Executive at suena, you will support our sales team in identifying new customer opportunities, managing sales processes, and building meaningful client connections. This is a great entry point into the fast-evolving world of energy technology and energy markets, where you’ll develop your skills while working with experienced professionals. You’ll be based in our Hamburg office with the flexibility of hybrid work.
This is what you’ll be mastering:
- Sales support & lead generation: Research potential customers, qualify inbound leads, and assist in outbound prospecting campaigns.
- CRM & documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities in our CRM system and support the preparation of client proposals and presentations.
- Customer communication: Assist in preparing outreach emails, follow-ups, and scheduling meetings with prospective clients.
- Market research: Support in identifying trends, competitors, and relevant industry movements to help improve our go-to-market strategy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior sales colleagues and the marketing and product teams to coordinate messaging and gather feedback from prospects.
You for sure have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: First hands-on experience in sales, business development, customer success, or startup environments (e.g. internship, working student position).
- Language proficiency: You are articulate in German and English and comfortable reaching out to new contacts.
- Curiosity & motivation: You are passionate about clean energy and excited to learn about software and tech-driven solutions.
- Structured mindset: You are reliable, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
It’s great if you have:
- Industry knowledge: Prior exposure to the energy sector, especially renewable energy or energy storage.
- Scaling experience: you’re familiar with how to run sales processes while establishing yourself in a new market.
- CRM experience: Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Self-managed profile: you know how to run things on your own, initiate change, cooperate with others and balance between independent analysis and team work.
- Other European language skills are a plus.
- Interest in AI, SaaS, or tech-enabled platforms.
