GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

To take a leadership role in proactively developing and winning new business for Manhattan Associates primarily in Germany. This is a stand-alone role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of Manhattan's sales plan.

What is exciting about this role is the responsibility of selling into Germany’s largest retail, wholesale, and industry accounts the best WMS/TMS/OMS solutions on the market, uniquely positioned as leaders in the Gartner Magic Quadrant and Forrester Wave, all cloud-native, versionless, and extensible. These solutions are already used and deployed by leading German companies, both domestically and globally.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility for the full sales cycle, including opportunity qualification, coordination and management of all resources required to sell, adherence to corporate sales methodology and processes, understanding the decision-making process, contract negotiation, and sales closure.

This will include:

  1. Driving the development and execution of the sales plan, including appropriate market development and account sales strategies.
  2. The territory is primarily Germany, but assignment to accounts outside of Germany is possible.
  3. Enjoying the support of local experts, experienced solution consultants, and professional services teams to sell as a team.
  4. Building and managing strong relationships with key stakeholders and counterparts within the business.
  5. Developing a deep understanding of potential prospects’ businesses, including economic drivers, opportunities, and priorities, to articulate the value proposition of Manhattan products and services.
  6. Understanding competitor offerings and positioning to differentiate Manhattan products and services.
  7. Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless post-sales and implementation handover and documentation.
Ideally Have:
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent through business experience.
  • Experience working with WMS, Omni Channel, or TMS.
  • Cloud/SaaS sales experience.
  • Experience selling complex supply chain solutions.
