Position - Leisure & Inbound Sales Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Leisure & Inbound Sales Executive to drive business growth across the German leisure and inbound travel market.
The role will focus on developing and managing relationships with German travel agencies, tour operators, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), wholesalers, group travel organizers, and other travel trade partners to generate leisure bookings and increase revenue.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the German travel and hospitality landscape, an established network within the travel trade, and the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities. This person should be commercially driven, relationship-oriented, and comfortable working in a target-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities-
- Drive leisure and inbound sales across the German market and assigned source markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, wholesalers, group travel organizers, and other travel partners.
- Identify and acquire new business partners to increase bookings, room nights, and revenue.
- Develop business opportunities across key leisure segments, including individual travellers, groups, families, and special-interest travel.
- Proactively generate leads, conduct sales calls, arrange client meetings, and convert opportunities into business.
- Achieve agreed revenue, booking, room-night, and sales targets.
2 - Account Management
- Manage a portfolio of existing leisure and inbound accounts and maximize their business potential.
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and travel trade partners.
- Conduct regular account reviews and identify opportunities to increase production and revenue.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, rates, contracts, allotments, and promotional opportunities within agreed guidelines.
- Ensure high levels of partner satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
3- Market Development
- Identify new leisure source markets, customer segments, and distribution channels within Germany.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, travel patterns, and customer preferences.
- Develop market-specific sales initiatives and campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Revenue Management.
- Identify opportunities to increase market share and strengthen the company's positioning within the German leisure market.
4 - Travel Trade & Industry Engagement
- Represent the company at travel trade fairs, tourism workshops, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Organize and participate in client visits, sales trips, roadshows, and partner events.
- Build a strong network within the German travel and tourism industry.
- Maintain close relationships with key industry stakeholders and identify opportunities for strategic partnerships.
5 -Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, Operations, and hotel teams to maximize leisure and inbound business.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and servicing of travel trade partners.
- Communicate market feedback, customer requirements, and business opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the resolution of partner and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
6 - Reporting & Performance Management
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, accounts, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
- Monitor account performance and take appropriate actions to achieve business targets.
- Track key sales KPIs and provide regular updates to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the German leisure and inbound travel market.
- Existing network with German travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, or travel wholesalers is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Strong business development and account management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proactive, commercially driven, and target-oriented approach.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally for client meetings, sales trips, and industry events.
