A leading company is seeking a Sales Engineer based in North Germany. In this permanent role, you will provide technical expertise to support sales activities and engage with customers directly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical security and IT markets, a Bachelor's degree, and excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English and German. Travel is expected as part of the job responsibilities.
As a Sales Engineer based in North Germany your role contributes to the business by being responsible for various types of technical aspects of the sales cycle transmitting knowledge and information about the Axis portfolio to our partners and end customers. You will be part of a highly competent sales organization for Middle Europe (DACH & BeNeLux) with more than 90 employees. You are the technical expert and a trusted advisor in a sales-oriented team providing expertise to both colleagues and customers. You will work closely with the Axis Account- and Key Account Managers as well as other colleagues in your territory. The ideal candidate should reside in a reasonable driving distance from Hannover or Hamburg . The Sales Engineer role is home office based with an expected amount of travelling of up to 50% on average.

What you will do at Axis
Support the sales organization together with other Axis representatives but also on your own to influence projects with customer visits product demonstrations shoot-outs proof of concepts and pilot installations
Support the sales organization in tender and RFP / RFQ processes and answering project related questions from colleagues and customers
Execution of high-level system designs that may include : detailed site surveys camera placement field of view calculations pixels on target audio design bandwidth and storage calculations BOM construction schematic drawings
Continuously keep the technical knowledge up to date on the latest products features and technologies to offer the best possible solution to the needs of the customers
Work cohesively across multiple departments and with multiple stakeholders (internally & externally) to ensure that expectations and performance goals are met in a timely and professional manner
Support to organize and execute as well as attend and represent Axis at road shows industry trade shows and other events as needed
Conduct and coordinate onsite workshops for customers
What you will need
Strong knowledge of the physical security and IT markets Including complimentary products technologies future trends and the market as a whole
Experienced design documentation skills (schematics flow charts topologies metrics FOV pixels on target angles etc.)
Strong technical writing presentation and public speaking skills (white paper manuals instructions PowerPoint presentations etc.)
Ability to work independently adapt for changes and exercise good judgement based on varying circumstances
High level of self-initiative self-motivation and sales orientation
Proven record of excellent time management and multitasking ability
Ability to convey complex technologies and specifications easily
Positive customer-centric attitude
Willingness to travel 50% on average within the north-west sales territory and rare travelling to our Munich office as well as our HQ in Sweden is required
Speak German as mother tongue and English at least on the B1 level
Your qualification and Experience
Bachelors degree in computer engineering Network Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Electrical Engineering or equivalent skills with proven practical experience
Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role ideally in the field of network video and / or physical security markets
Ability to facilitate engaging presentations and demonstrations to a variety of audiences
