A Japanese multinational trading company is looking for a Sales Engineer to join their expanding team in Frankfurt, Germany. The focus of this job is to maximize satisfaction from their clients.

Business level of fluency in English or German is required.
Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skills will be advantageous.

Position Details:
  • Type: Permanent, full-time
  • Working hours: 8:30-17:00 from Monday to Friday (flexible hours negotiable)
  • Salary: €50,000 – negotiable depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits
  • Start: ASAP
  • Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Main Responsibilities:
  • Present, promote, and sell machine parts such as screw bolts and metal parts to existing and prospective customers, primarily within the automotive sector
  • Manage correspondence with customers and suppliers, mainly in Asia
  • Request quotations (RFQ) from suppliers and negotiate terms
  • Prepare quotations for customers and follow up
  • Visit customers and suppliers outside of Germany (sometimes in Asia) for negotiations on technical, pricing, and quality issues
  • Expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints
  • Develop projects such as PPAP, environmental, and other documentation required by customers, and evaluate production processes
  • Prepare monthly sales activity reports for managers and directors
  • Create and revise yearly sales plans quarterly
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in automotive sales and mechanical parts (bolts, screws, and other metal parts)
  • Ability to interpret customer drawings
  • Experience in trading
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English or German
  • Willingness to travel within Europe and internationally
