Our client, a world leading industrial components producer for the automation, ligistics and material handling industry, is seeking an experienced Sales Director Germany and Benelux to lead the sales strategy in the country, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with clients and coordinating the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-value accounts, driving revenue growth, and leading sales teams in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets in the Düsseldorf region.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients in industries like material handling, conveyor systems, and industrial automation.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to exceed performance goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product development, marketing) to align offerings with client needs.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective account management and after-sales support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or sales coordination roles (agents, key accounts or similar)
  • Strong network of existing client relationships in the Germany area, particularly in components for handling, logistics, or automation sectors.
  • Proven ability to close high-value deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach.
  • Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
