Job Description:

As a Sales Development Representative, we'll provide you with the tools and resources to be successful — but this isn't the run-of-the-mill SDR role. You will be a key part of our Sales Development team, responsible for responding to inbound requests, understanding user needs, and handing off relationships to an Account Executive when appropriate. You will develop engagement plans for acquiring new accounts, identify client opportunities, listen to client needs, discuss the impact of our technology, and highlight the benefits of GrafanaCloud and Grafana Enterprise. This role is remote, and we are open to all candidates in Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the initial sales process via email, phone, and social media, including responding to inbound leads, understanding customer needs, identifying decision-makers, cross-selling opportunities, and knowing when to involve an Account Executive.
  • Create and refine tailored email and social media outreach strategies.
  • Build rapport and long-term relationships with prospects.
  • Track all activities in Salesforce.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of competitors, the open-source ecosystem, and industry trends.
  • Make autonomous decisions and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Support and execute account strategies in close collaboration with the Sales Team.
  • Identify key players within accounts, researching and gathering business requirements and OKRs.
  • Create target user lists to engage accounts within your territory.

Requirements:

  • Located in Germany.
  • Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken).
  • Maintain a positive attitude despite criticism, rejection, or failure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of following through on goals and commitments.
  • Quick learner, proactive, and skilled in problem-solving.
  • Insatiable curiosity, always questioning and seeking deeper answers.
  • Able to think strategically and tactically.
  • Demonstrated success in a non-sales, goal-oriented environment.

The OTE compensation range in Germany for this role is EUR 57,000 - EUR 60,000, with actual compensation depending on experience and skills.
