Pitchup.com receives 33 million annual visits and up to 7,500 bookings per day, with total transaction value up 50% compared to 2022 (a record-breaking year). So far, £260 million worth of holidays have been booked through us, helping 9 million holidaymakers make their great escape. This year, we launched our new mobile website, updating its look and feel and increasing conversions, with the desktop version soon to follow. The company is profitable, founded in 2009 by former lastminute.com staff with a background in the holiday park sector.

You will join a nimble team of 70 based in 10 countries, all working remotely, as we are a 100% remote business.

Our site has been featured in leading global media such as BBC News, New York Times, Le Figaro, and more, and has been translated into 17 languages. We’re members of the Financial Times' FT1000 fastest-growing companies in Europe and recently received the Platinum Trusted Service Award by Feefo, for achieving a customer rating of at least 4.5 out of 5 for three consecutive years.

We now have a vacancy for an exceptional German-speaking sales professional to join our friendly, multinational team. As part of our sales team, you'll work alongside our account coordinators to help our site owners set up their bookable listings, maintain their pricing and availability, and handle day-to-day queries.

The role

The main activities include making sales calls from home to sign up campsites and holiday parks, and assisting clients with the registration process. Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining a strong network of contacts and supporting relationships with key supplier decision-makers.
  2. Discovering and following up on new accommodation opportunities.
  3. Promoting our product internally and providing recommendations when required.
  4. Monitoring and analyzing results, ensuring client inventory is adequate, and their allocation levels meet company standards.

Candidates will join a nimble team at a young, rapidly growing company.

We are seeking candidates who can dedicate at least 20-25 hours per week. Working hours are flexible and can vary weekly to accommodate personal commitments. A permanent role may be offered later to the right candidate. Some travel may be involved, but this is optional.

The candidate

Ideal candidates are self-starters, highly flexible, and capable of prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines. The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:

  1. Proven experience in new business development, including B2B cold calling.
  2. Self-motivated, capable of making 50-100 calls per shift, and following up via email and other client communications.
  3. Fluent in German and English.
  4. Organized and methodical.
  5. Willing to be a 'jack-of-all-trades' to support a dynamic startup environment.
  6. At least two years' experience in a related field.
  7. Owns a computer and has good technical skills.
  8. Internet savvy and able to troubleshoot independently.
  9. Enthusiastic about establishing Pitchup.com as a modern, creative brand.
  10. Possesses general administrative skills and experience in a customer-facing role.
  11. Excellent communication skills and a professional phone manner.
  12. Motivated and proactive.

The package
  • Hourly rate of £16-18 (~€18-20), plus commission per campsite and an uncapped 'superbonus'.
