Summary

The Sales & Business Development Engineer, North & East of Germany ensures the commercial development of Mobile Water Solutions activities and brand awareness in Germany. Responsibilities include participating in communication actions, prospecting potential new customers, preparing proposals with process experts, negotiating prices, developing sales strategies, managing customer portfolios, and maintaining customer relationships to foster loyalty. The role is key to business growth and profitability.

This position reports to the Division Sales Manager, Northern Europe.

The role is home-office based with frequent travel and site visits within the region.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Identify and prospect new potential customers in the North & East of Germany.
  2. Maintain contact with existing customers and develop long-term partnerships.
  3. Calculate prices based on standard cost sheets.
  4. Prepare proposals with technical and process support from the Europe Operations Team.
  5. Lead strategic sales efforts and negotiations.
  6. Develop and implement sales and business development plans for the area, with support from the Division Sales Manager.
  7. Execute specific business development strategies targeting priority customers, engineering firms, EPCs, IEX, etc.
  8. Identify new markets and opportunities.
  9. Contribute proactively to business and profitability growth.
  10. Build brand awareness through marketing initiatives and participation in events such as webinars, seminars, exhibitions, press articles, and technical papers.
  11. Use CRM tools effectively.
  12. Participate in sales reviews and prepare reports.
  13. Adhere to internal procedures, contractual terms, and the Golden Rules.
  14. Ensure compliance with QHSE policies, promote safety, health, and environmental standards, and report incidents promptly.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Master’s or Engineering degree with relevant experience.
  • Technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
  • Extensive sales and business development experience in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Fluent in English and German, with effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work across cultures and borders within an international team.
  • Valid driver’s license for regional travel.
