Job Description:

A branch of a well-known Japanese global trading company is currently seeking to recruit a Sales Assistant in their Textiles Department based in Milan, Italy.

The role involves supporting sales and marketing, arranging shipments, coordinating logistics, processing shipping documents, and processing accounts data.

Salary: EUR28,000 to EUR30,000 per annum depending on experience. Discretionary annual performance-related bonus. Overtime payable as per the requirements of the role.

Location: Milan, Italy

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Hours of Work: 9:00 – 17:30 (overtime may be required as reasonably necessary)

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating importing and exporting processes
  • Administration of all end-to-end documents, including sales notes, purchase orders, packing lists, and invoices
  • Data entry into SAP
  • Monitoring credit control and ensuring customer payments are received on time
  • Monitoring credit limits and ensuring that limits are not exceeded
  • Monitoring FOREX booking balance
  • Ad hoc administration duties as required
Ideal Candidate:
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and verbal)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant role
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Cooperative, flexible, and a “can-do” attitude
  • Accurate with proven numerical skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Good time and task management skills, ability to work to tight deadlines
