ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the sales Beyond The Can (BTC) products in Europe
- Handle a Sales Revenue of more than USD 8 Million
- Develop contacts and relationships with new and existing Customers to sell products in Europe
- Ensure retention of existing business by developing working relationships with all levels of site-management and performs related account management activities
- Provide technical service at the customer end
- Develops sales strategies on a regional level
- Responds to questions and concerns from customers, and ensures customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with other functions like Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and others to archive results for the assigned tasks
- Develop sales plans, activities and campaigns, and manage the day-to-day activities to manage sales strategy for the Region
- Prepare sales forecasts and budgets
- Monitor sales volume, revenues and costs against forecasts to identify problem areas and create solutions
- Develop new customers in dedicated markets or areas incl. start-ups
- Search for and create new business opportunities in accordance with business needs, possibilities and capacity
- New market development, OEM’s and new product introduction
- Develop territory market development plan and obtain approval
- Work closely with technical team for trials and trouble shooting
- Establish and maintain excellent relations with key decision makers
- Responsible for credit management
POSITION CHALLENGES:
- Leading a product and customer portfolio for a determined region
- Launch of product ranges in local markets
- Credit management with minimum exposure
- Ensures customer quality and service expectations are consistently met by the Sales team and eliminates or reduces customer complaints
- Ensure Regional Sales targets and goals are achieved within the given timeline
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent relevant Chemistry subject, or Diploma
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum 12 years in coatings/ plastic polymers industry in Packaging
- with minimum 2 years in direct sales to OEM’s, distributors, contractors, architects
- Experience gained within technical sales / markets
Technical/skill Requirements:
- Dynamic and goal oriented.
- English – Writing, reading and speaking
- Additional language is an advantage but not necessary.
Travel Requirements(time spent away from home or other typical office location): 60%
