We are looking for a Sales Account Manager Germany, to join our Flavors Europe team.

This position is based in our office based in Strasbourg, France OR home-based in Germany. Online collaboration and international travel may be required.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, theSales Account Manager will be responsible for developing value-added ingredient sales activities to sweet and savory food industry accounts. A major focus in this role will be engaging and collaborating with key decision makers to develop and obtain new sales. This includes developing, implementing and managing account-specific strategies to achieve sales goals and coordinating creative projects to bring benefit to the customer.

What you’ll do:

  • Regularly visit prospects and customers with presentations to understand their needs and link with product portfolio.
  • Interface with primary customers’ purchasing and technical organizations in order to solicit new business, and to participate actively on long term projects.
  • Develop and manage relationships with top management with selective major accounts.
  • Develop and execute a territorial coverage plan (in writing).
  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of all assigned accounts.
  • Ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Submit request for samples or projects: ensure that adequate information is on the request so that product management can make appropriate business decisions.

What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
  • Fluency in German (spoken and written) and in English is mandatory.
  • Sales and/or Technical profiles will be considered.
  • Sales experience with a proven successful track record would be preferred, but Junior applicants will also be considered.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to multiple customers through assigned territory (travel can be up to 60% with frequent overnight travel).
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as with a team: you will bring a high level of self-discipline and motivation.
  • Be a good relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
