AVILUS sucht einen Safety Specialist, der das Safety-Management unterstützt und eng mit dem Safety Manager zusammenarbeitet. Sie bringen umfassende Erfahrung in Luftfahrtsicherheit und Risikoanalysen mit und arbeiten an der Einhaltung regulatorischer Vorgaben.

Zu den Aufgaben gehören Risikobewertungen, Audits und die Erstellung von Sicherheitsberichten. Erforderlich ist ein Hochschulabschluss in einem relevanten Bereich sowie gute Englischkenntnisse.

Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium in relevanten Bereichen (Luftfahrt/Sicherheitsmanagement).
• Mindestens 5 Jahre Luftfahrt-Erfahrung, davon 3 Jahre in einer Safety Management Systems‑Rolle.
• Erfahrung in Ursachenforschung und Root‑Cause‑Analyse.
• Erfahrung in Risikobewertungsmethoden.
• Erfahrung in internen Audits und Sicherheits-Compliance.
• Fundierte Kenntnisse der EASA‑Vorschriften für Safety Management.
• Kenntnisse zu UAS‑Betrieben und Regulierung sind vorteilhaft.
• Strukturierte, detailorientierte Arbeitsweise.
• Gute Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeit.
• Englische Sprachkompetenz in Wort und Schrift.

Aufgaben

• Unterstützung des Safety Managers in laufenden Prozessen und Dokumentation.
• Durchführung von Risikobewertungen.
• Nachverfolgung von Ereignismeldungen.
• Initiieren oder Mitwirken an Vorfällen und Berichten.
• Durchführung von Sicherheitsaudits für operative Teams.
• Überwachung von Korrekturmaßnahmen zur Sicherstellung der Umsetzung.
• Unterstützung bei regelmäßigen Sicherheitsleistungsberichten.
• Mitwirkung an Sicherheitsförderungsaktivitäten.

Do you want to work on a New Class of Drones? Our product universe spans three different platforms with maximum take‑off weights of up to 1000 kg and characteristic dimensions of 8 m: the hexacopter Grille for medical evacuation, the multi‑role rotorcraft Wespe for logistics and support operations, and the fixed‑wing drone Bussard for surveillance and intelligence missions. All systems are powered by RasCore, our highly redundant, military‑grade avionics system for safe operations within EASA’s Specific Category. Three aircraft, one mission: to bridge the gap between small UAVs and traditional manned systems.

To support our Safety Manager, we are looking for a Safety Specialist. This role is well suited for experienced professionals interested in aviation safety, safety management processes, and organizational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Safety Manager in ongoing processes and documentation
• Conducting the risk assessment
• Following up on occurrence reports
• Initiating or participating in occurrence investigations and preparing reports
• Conducting safety audits for the operational teams
• Monitoring corrective actions to ensure their accomplishment
• Assisting in preparing regular safety performance reports
• Contributing to safety promotion activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of aviation experience, including at least 3 years in an active Safety Management Systems role
• Experience in occurrence investigation and root cause analysis
• Experience in risk assessment methodology
• Experience in internal auditing and safety compliance monitoring
• Solid knowledge of EASA regulations related to Safety Management Systems
• Knowledge of UAS operations and the UAS regulatory framework is preferred
• Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable working style
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Required for employment: Security clearance (Ü2‑Sabotageschutz) approval (note: relationships in countries according to § 13 para. 1 no. 17 SÜG may result in a negative assessment)
