Job Description:

As a Safety Software Test Engineer (m/f/d) , you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our wind turbine software. You will focus on the development and execution of safety-critical tests, while working in an international and interdisciplinary environment.

YOUR TASKS

• Develop, automate, and execute test routines for safety-critical software in wind turbine systems.
• Create and review technical documentation and test specifications in compliance with ISO 13849-2 and the Machinery Directive.
• Configure and utilize real-time simulation systems for testing safety functionalities.
• Enhance automated testing systems for regression tests during the software release process.
• Automate test routines using Exam MicroNova and Python.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and verify software specifications.

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Automation Technology.
• Solid knowledge of the Machinery Directive and ISO 13849-2 processes.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with Exam MicroNova is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Ethernet technology, bus systems, and real-time simulation systems.
• Certified software tester (e.g., ISTQB) is desirable.
• Fluent in English; skills in Spanish or German are advantageous.
