The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to work at our Levy Brandenburg Mill Services location in Brandenburg, KY. The Safety Coordinator performs clerical and administrative responsibilities supporting the division's safety programs.

Pay: $22.00-30.00 based on experience

Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday in office full time, approx. 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities
The Safety Coordinator will:

• Assist with the implementation of safety and environmental policies, regulations and programs
• Assist in safety training sessions and toolbox talks
• Maintain and organize safety documentation, reports and records
• Conduct site inspections with manager
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding safety concerns
• Conduct regulatory compliance audits including monitoring and testing
• Track and monitors risk assessments, observations and emergency drills
• Maintain and monitors compliance and training records
• Support incident investigations by collecting data and preparing reports
• Assist with incident investigation and remediation of environmental incidents including spills
• Order and maintains PPE
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills
The ideal candidate will have:

• Safety related experience or internship
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA standards
• Knowledge of any local or state required safety standards
• Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings
• Ability to travel
• High School diploma required Degree preferred
