  • HE Space is a successful international space company. For 40 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. HE Space has joined forces with CS Group to lead the engineering and digital space market in Europe and to provide highly skilled consulting.

    As a member of a team providing services to EUMETSAT, you will have the following responsibility:

    • Maintain cloud processing systems and related tools and data-streams on Copernicus project.
    • Maintenance of the essential s/w documentation to keep it aligned with the code;
    • Software development and support leading to:
      • correction of anomalies;
      • implementation of evolutions;
      • increase of the performance;
      • delivery of the associated software patches or releases;
      • support to deployment and validation of the corrected/updated IPFs in the EUMETSAT
      • operational ground segments;
    • You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

      • Minimum Bachelor´s degree in Information Systems or an equivalent discipline;
      • Experience in software development with C/C++;
      • Experience with scripting:
        • Python programming and linux systems;
        • Databases;
        • Data downloads from operational systems.

      Advantage will be the following skills:

      • Experience with Earth observation data and operational data streams;
      • Experience in development of operational software;
      • Experience in scientific analysis;
      • Experience in software optimisation;
      • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
      • This job is located in Darmstadt.
