Job Description:

Our client is a German FinTech company with an innovative own product/platform. We are looking for an experienced Ruby Developer Contractor/Freelancer to join the successful team as a remote contractor (min. 6 months, full-time).

You will:

1. Implement new features and maintain a complex core product’s backend.
2. Understand and document the existing product (in Ruby on Rails).
3. Find ways for a reliable infrastructure/product, implement and ensure them.
4. See yourself as a user and recommend improvements for the existing product.
5. Be part of developing the whole company culture and mindset.

Desired Profile:

1. Solid experience in Ruby on Rails environment.
2. Experience with Kubernetes on AWS.
3. Solid knowledge and experience with GitLab (repository, CI/CD, images, packages, issue tracking).
4. Experience with PostgreSQL.
5. Passion for software and product development.
6. Ability to contribute to architectural and product decision processes.
7. Fluent in English (German is a big plus).
8. Ability and attitude to work independently and carry own responsibilities.
9. Communicative, contributing to a friendly work environment.
