About the role
The AgileSense team at Agile Robots AI department is seeking for a dedicated Robotics/Machine Vision Engineer with a specialization in industrial Robotics based applications. You are expected to have at least 3 years of experience in the field, demonstrating proficiency in using 2D and 3D cameras with different Machine Vision software. You will work on fusing the classical image capturing and processing approaches with the new AI techniques. This position is focused on the fusion of multiple modalities sensors data in purpose to improve robotic systems performance in industrial and service robotics applications. So prior hands-on experience in this area would be a significant plus.
Your Responsibilities
- Participate in the research and development of novel multi-modal sensing technologies and systems based on classical and AI inspired technologies
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop and evaluate 2D/3D/Multi-Camera/High-speed Vision Solutions
- Demonstrate the performance of our camera systems in high-complexity robotic solutions
- Work closely with the Robotics team to design and implement AI-based solutions
- Collaborate with other team members to evaluate and improve existing systems/pipelines
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, DL, and robotics.
- Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design
- Travelling frequently to our deployment sites, primarily China, India (up to 40% of the time depending on the stage of the project), to collaborate with on-site engineers in deploying and evaluating our solutions and collecting feedback on their usage for collaborating
- Master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, AI, or a related field
- Experience on developing Machine Vision and/or Computational Imaging systems
- Proficiency in C/C++ for Linux and Windows
- OpenCV or other Vision Libraries practical experience
- Hands-on mindset to work on fast changing hardware-software prototypes and requirements
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communications skills
- Strong verbal and written communication in English
Beneficial Skills
- Hands-on experience with camera/light set up and calibration
- Familiarity with edge GPU, FPGA, and Embedded Heterogeneous Processing Systems such as NVIDIA Jetson and AMD Xilinx ZynQ/Kria
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Robotics/Digital factory simulations
- Experience with deep learning-based Vision Systems for object detection and segmentation
- Familiarity with Vision Systems Simulations using Blender or similar software
- Experience with Python and C#
- Experience with ML/DL libraries/frameworks like PyTorch, Keras, Tensor RT etc.
