We currently have an exciting full-time position available within our AMR team for a Robotics Lead Engineer Software. As a part of our team spread over different locations in Europe, you will be working daily across multiple projects to coordinate, execute, problem solve and successfully deliver them to our diverse customers. You must be self-motivated, well organized, proactive, and a natural problem solver with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The position acts as an interface between the development team and our customers. You will be the primary point of contact with our customers and ensure the quality and timely delivery of our AMR software solutions.
Collaborate with the Sales Team to gather project and client requirements, ensuring timely delivery.
Translate the business needs of our major logistics clients into clear, testable software requirements, including SRS, user stories, and use cases.
Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and developers, attend meetings, and provide accurate updates on project status.
Plan, prioritize, and oversee software development activities to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Create acceptance reports and criteria for the software in scope. Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively, maintain clear documentation.
Ensure alignment of software requirements with customer expectations and business objectives.
This is a remote based role within Germany.
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
3+ years of experience in software development or requirements engineering.
Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and manage priorities effectively across business, stakeholders, and clients.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in customer and management-facing contexts.
Proficiency in English and German are required. Ability to travel as needed (<20%).
Experience with logistics, warehouse management systems (WMS), or autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Experience working with customers in enterprise B2B environments.
Knowledge of software quality assurance processes and documentation (e.g., test plans, traceability).
