Job Description:

At Magazino, we build intelligent mobile robots that operate in dynamic environments. We are looking for a Software QA Engineer who is passionate about technology and takes pride in delivering high-quality software for complex, real-world systems.

Quality is at the heart of everything we do. Our robots are deployed in mission-critical environments where precision, uptime, and robustness are non-negotiable. In this role, you will take ownership of the testing and release processes that ensure our robots always perform reliably.

  • You will ensure that every release meets our high standards for performance, safety, and stability.
  • You work closely with our development team to design, implement, execute and maintain the release QA procedures for our products.
  • You share the responsibility for quality in all features released and help the team improve the testing and release processes.
  • You analyze, troubleshoot and report complex and fascinating problems before they reach our customer’s facilities.
  • You improve our software quality framework by automating tests, including software unit tests, integration tests, functional hardware-in-the-loop tests, and robot performance tests.
Requirements
  • You hold a bachelor or master degree in robotics, IT, mechatronics, mechanical and production engineering or similar.
  • You have knowledge of Linux, Python and/or C++.
  • You already gained experience with robotic and/or embedded software development.
  • You have a basic understanding of mechanics, electrical systems, networks, IT and Linux.
  • You are proactive, independent, and love work in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on mentality.
  • You care deeply about software quality and take pride in working with technology that allows building reliable systems.
  • Nice to have:
    • Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System)
    • First experience with software testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing
    • Experience with Jenkins or similar build automation tools, software deployment concepts, Debian package building, and APT repository maintenance
  • Fluency in English is required, basic German skills are helpful.
What we have to offer
  • Cutting-edge technology: As pioneers in robotics we are able to navigate and manipulate without rails and guides and offer solutions to processes that no one could automate ever before!
  • Team: We are an international team with more than 25 nationalities. You’ll work in a team with exceptionally smart, humble, collaborative and hardworking individuals.
  • Culture: Come as you are! Join a vibrant, inventive, and diverse team that values collaboration over hierarchy. To innovate you need to fail from time to time — we always learn and improve.
  • Workplace: Our office is located near the S‑Bahn station “Hirschgarten”. We work in a loft-style office with great equipment, our own workshop and testing area.
  • Full Board: You don’t feel like thinking about what you want to have for lunch tomorrow, not to mention preparing it? Luckily, our french cook treats us with a freshly cooked free lunch everyday! And as the cherry on top, there is a packed fridge with drinks, fresh fruits and of course coffee!
  • Flexibility: Flexibility is a top priority for us. Our hybrid working model for positions where presence is dispensable helps to achieve a healthy work-life balance.

At Magazino fostering inclusivity is very important to us. We are dedicated to create an inclusive environment for all candidates and provide equal opportunities to all qualified applicants regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, national origin, sexual orientation, culture, or education. If you need any reasonable adjustments to make the application process accessible for you, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Feel free to approach us for that!

We develop and build robots that work together with people – autonomously, safely and at a level of complexity that nobody before us has reached. ->
