A key initiative is to build a compelling Cyber Risk Consulting proposition, enhancing our existing expertise to support clients in cyber risk management.

With investment from AXA Group, we have the opportunity to hire an experienced Cyber Risk Consultant to work closely with the Global Head of Cyber Consulting in developing AXA XL’s global Cyber underwriting and consulting services. This strategy includes leading the development of a consistent Cyber Security Risk Management Services Methodology, promoting a positive cyber security risk culture, and providing expertise in identifying and assessing Cyber Security Risks.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

As a Cyber Risk Consultant, you will support the development of our Cyber Risk Consulting proposition and assist in enhancing our brand and capabilities. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting in advising Underwriters on industry-specific risks and supporting clients in implementing their cyber risk reduction strategies.
2. Helping to build a set of cyber services aimed at helping clients understand, manage, and mitigate their risks.
3. Supporting the design and implementation of customized risk management frameworks tailored to client needs.
4. Learning to define risk management processes and guidelines, contributing to the overall framework.
5. Collaborating with senior team members to develop risk analysis methodologies, focusing on identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks.
6. Adapting risk analysis approaches to meet the specific needs of clients based on factors such as industry and size.
7. Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in response to changing client needs and circumstances.
8. Engaging with underwriters, brokers, and clients to discuss risk consulting solutions aimed at improving risk profiles.
9. Visiting and interacting with clients to evaluate location and industry-specific risks, reporting findings to the team.
10. Ensuring compliance with technical rules and guidelines while learning best practices.
11. Sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues interested in cyber risk mitigation.
12. Supporting the local claims team by providing insights into industry knowledge.
13. Collaborating with AXA’s Cyber Centre of Excellence to share insights into industry trends and emerging issues.

You will be reporting to the Head of Cyber Risk Consulting.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

1. Basic understanding of Cyber Security Risk Management, with a desire to learn more.
2. Familiarity with cyber insurance concepts.
3. Ability to work in a collaborative environment and support various stakeholders.
4. Understanding of regulations, policies, and procedures in a cyber-security context.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Curiosity and a motivation to learn about cyber risk management.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

1. Some experience or coursework related to risk management, particularly in Cyber Security.
2. Understanding of frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or Cyber Essentials+.
3. Experience or internships in the Information Technology sector or relevant fields.
4. Ability to work independently while being a great team player.
5. Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 20%).
6. Excellent attention to detail and ability to create clear and engaging presentations.
7. Fluency in English and German. Additional languages are a plus.
