What You'll Do :

As such, Criteo is increasing its investment in its retailer-facing business that helps clients manage all aspects of their ad and audience monetization programs, also known as Retail Media. This involves the placement of brand advertisements within eCommerce sites and mobile applications of retailers, as well as brand and retailer-specific ads offsite.

As a Retail Media Demand Sales Manager, reporting to the Head of Retail Media Demand DACH, you will be responsible for winning new business, nurturing prospects, growing existing clients, and managing a multi-product sales cycle to close deals. You will work with some of the largest and well-known brands, focusing on consumer electronics, beauty, and FMCG. Your role includes facilitating joint business planning meetings, developing strategic growth plans, and forecasting to meet quarterly targets. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to drive revenue growth with existing large clients, collaborating closely with the Account Strategist team.
  • Taking full responsibility for acquiring major new business prospects from a target list.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships at all levels with brands and agencies.
  • Prospecting, penetrating, and establishing new relationships with media agencies as needed.
  • Promoting new products and solutions externally to the market.
  • Maintaining extensive product knowledge through internal collaborations across product and client service teams.
  • Identifying industry trends within retail, understanding what makes campaigns successful, and applying these insights to generate new business.
  • Attending industry events and award ceremonies to expand your network.
  • Managing your sales pipeline accurately and owning both new and existing opportunities across multiple products.
  • Achieving or exceeding quarterly revenue targets.

Who You Are :

  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Ideally with digital media sales experience, particularly in display advertising or eCommerce.
  • Proven track record of driving new business growth.
  • Established relationships with key contacts in prospects from FMCG, beauty, or electronics sectors within the DACH region.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the online advertising industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
