Drive strategy and overall performance of the inflight retail business.
Develop, execute and track retail strategies to achieve sales targets.
Oversee inflight retail operations, sales targets, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Develop the assortment strategy within different product categories with a focus on achieving sales and increasing airline & pax satisfaction.
Lead and manage bi-yearly changes in product assortment for respective retail programs as per cycle timeline.
Own the pricing strategy and conduct benchmark price checks (online & airports). Responsible for setting up the MPL & keeping it up to date.
Determine advertising activities that fit with the program strategy. Monitor the marketing contribution.
Communicate product range decisions in preparation for ops activities (create & share the In / Out List, MPL, Substitution List, and Vector List, Input for Fit-Checks).
Plan & conduct photo shoots, manage approval process for onboard brochures.
Own magazine creation and liaise with all internal and external stakeholders (setting up flat-plan, marketing contribution, design kick off, feedback loops, legal/supplier/brand partner loop, printer, delivery, checking pack shots & adverts, product texts, time management).
Support the partnership management department with brand collaborations.
Build customer relationships with respective airline counterparts.
Set, monitor, and manage the retail procurement and listing cycle forecast.
Analyze performance metrics, sales data, and propose and implement strategies to improve sales (for the kick-off, assortment presentation, and promotions).
Regularly report to the Account Manager on Retail KPIs and performance as well as to the airline for assortment presentations.
In collaboration with the Head of Retail, be an active member of the Retail Excellence community of practice and leverage insights.
Develop the inflight retail menu card in collaboration with the design team. Plan & conduct photo shoots, manage approval process for onboard brochure.
Analyze relevant crew feedback from cabin crew about challenges faced or any unique observations during inflight sales and support measure development.
Consult crew engagement on developing a crew engagement plan, leveraging your account insights.
Collaborate with operations for stock (‘fit checks’), ensuring that popular items are adequately stocked and aligning inventory with crew expectations.
Actively engage with RiM’s business intelligence function to upskill on BI as tooling and insights become available.
When required, work to define requirements for enhanced BI to help you manage your accounts.
Regularly update procurement on portfolio gaps and requirements and provide input on product ideas to ensure an efficient procurement process.
Stay updated on inflight retail industry trends by working together with Retail Excellence on best practices and industry developments.
