Qualifikationen

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Materials Reaction Engineering team is an integral component of the largest R&D community in the chemical industry and has expertise in model-based development and optimization of polymeric materials and associated production processes. You will work as a research scientist in interdisciplinary teams with the following tasks:

  1. Within the scope of the innovation process, you will initiate, handle and manage research and development projects in the field of polymer reaction engineering.
  2. You will develop, parametrize and validate first-principles models as well as apply these to accelerate the development, improvement and scale-up of polymeric materials and/or polymerization process.
  3. To achieve the challenging project goals, you will work together with colleagues from product and process development, digitalization, as well as business units in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams.
  4. Contact with operational units, research groups and universities worldwide will complete your network.
WHAT YOU OFFER
  1. PhD in process engineering, chemical engineering or technical chemistry with above-average marks, or several years of comparable professional experience
  2. Practical experience in modeling and simulation of complex chemical processes using Predici, Aspen or similar software
  3. Passion for innovation with in-depth knowledge of polymer reaction engineering and thermodynamics
  4. Coding skills (e.g., Python, Matlab, C) and genuine interest for digitalization and computer science
  5. A targeted, clear communication style to convey even complex matters in an understandable manner in German as well as in English
