At the Centre for Climate Resilience at the University of Augsburg, a position is available in the research group “Climate Resilience of Human-Made Ecosystems” (Prof. Dr. Katharina Waha) starting November 1, 2025. The position is for a Research Scientist (Foresighting resilient adaptation and land use change) in an initially fixed-term employment for two years with regular working hours. The salary is based on experience and the German public sector pay scale up to E13 TV-L.
The Centre was founded in 2020, focusing on climate resilience research and science communication with an interdisciplinary approach. Its goal is to develop scientific foundations and strategies for climate adaptation at various levels.
The successful candidate will lead the initial phase of the FORESIGHT project, focusing on resilience and vulnerability, stakeholder engagement, and project preparation, aiming to support a multi-year, multi-stakeholder research initiative on climate resilience and land use. The candidate should be interested in early research and in coordinating grant development within a multidisciplinary team.
