Candidates should have a Master's degree in a relevant field and experience in computational linguistics. This full-time role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for academic qualification and flexible working hours.
Wiss25392 – Research Position in the SFB TRR 318 [subproject B07] at the Center for Cognitive Interaction Technology (TheCITEC). The transregional collaborative research center (TRR) “Constructing Explainability” funded by the DFG at the Universities of Paderborn and Bielefeld deals with explainable artificial intelligence. The central hypothesis is that explanations should be co-constructed by dialogue partners so that humans can make confident and informed decisions when interacting with intelligent systems.
The B07 project aims to investigate how users request information and explanations from LLM-based agents through interactive prompting practices. The TRR uses conversation analyses to explore situated meaning-making and calibration, aiming to develop a context-sensitive framework for human–machine interaction that supports users in effectively interacting with AI systems through prompting while remaining aware of risks and limitations.
