Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences – Department of Chemistry Research Fellow (m/f/d) in the field of alkali-metal batteries with solid electrolytes and sulfur cathodes with expected full-time employment – E 13 TV-L HU (third-party funding limited to 31.08.2027)

· scientific services in research within the BMBF BattFutur project ANaBatt in the field of alkali-metal batteries with solid electrolytes and sulfur cathodes

· design, construction and cycling of electrochemical cells

· data analysis, modelling and scientific reports

Requirements:

· completed university degree and PhD if applicable in the field of material science, chemistry, engineering or comparable disciplines with the best possible academic performance

· experience in battery research and construction of electrochemical cells

· experience in development of sulfur cathodes is an important advantage

· experience with solid-electrolyte-batteries is an advantage

· ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with various partners

· proven experience in writing scientific manuscripts and publishing in scientific journals – good publication record

· very good command of written and spoken English (at least B2)

· good knowledge of German is an important advantage (at least A2)

· ability to work in a team, good organizing ability, high degree of motivation, reliable communication

· proven ability to raise third-party funding is an advantage

· interest to contribute to the research project for at least two years
