Siemens Energy in Berlin invites applications for an engineer (m/f/d) in basic research focused on new concepts and basic technologies for a sustainable, secure, and efficient energy future. You will work on solutions long before market readiness, contributing to long-term energy transformation.

You will join our Grid Technology division, conducting conception and research of electrical concepts up to PoCs and prototypes, and collaborating across disciplines to drive innovation in transformers

Qualifikationen

• M.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Extensive experience in engineering product development or research for power transformers, incl. EM and dielectric analysis simulations.
• Ability to work independently and in distributed teams.
• Proficiency in English; German is a plus.

• Conception and research of new technologies and electrical concepts up to PoCs and prototypes.
• Performing electrical field calculations and evaluating losses in transformer components.
• Develop and refine simulation methods for electrical engineering.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Conception and research of new technologies, as well as the development of innovative electrical concepts and their theoretical foundation up to PoC's and prototypes


• Performing electrical field calculations and evaluating losses in power transformer components


• New and further development of simulation and calculation methods in the field of electrical engineering


• Planning, implementation and evaluation of test series and comparison with calculation results

What You Bring

• Completed studies M.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field


• Long term of experience in an engineering product development or research environment for power transformers, including hands‑on use of simulation software for electromagnetic and dielectric analysis


• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a distributed team environment


• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus, especially German
