Achieve more in practice – this slogan characterizes the study life at the Faculty of Computer Science / Mathematics of the HTW Dresden for approximately 750 students in fields such as (Applied) Computer Science, Media, Administrative, and Business Informatics.

The HTWD's Faculty of Computer Science / Mathematics is seeking to fill a full-time position as a Research Associate in Nursing / Nursing Science / Nursing Education (m / f / d), starting from 01.11.2025 until 31.10.2028 (subject to funding approval).

In cooperation with the Evangelische Hochschule Dresden – University of Applied Sciences for Social Work, Education, and Nursing (ehs), and funded by the Free State of Saxony, HTWD is establishing the junior research group MILE (Multimodal Immersive Learning Environments for Healthcare Education). MILE aims to develop hybrid learning environments that present digital content immersively, simulate interpersonal interactions, and social dynamics using mixed reality and AI technology. The project focuses on creating innovative teaching and learning concepts that combine technical skills with social and communicative skills through digital scenarios. The initiative involves close collaboration across university didactics, computer science, design, and nursing science disciplines.

There is an opportunity to pursue a doctorate.

Your Tasks :

• Develop your own research focus within MILE, collaborating with team members and mentors from various disciplines.
• Develop and implement interdisciplinary sub-projects.
• Actively collaborate with all involved disciplines and persons in MILE.

Your Profile :

• Master’s degree in nursing, nursing science, or nursing education.
• Extensive experience in developing and implementing simulation-based, high-fidelity teaching-learning scenarios.
• Experience with simulation technology and laboratory equipment.
• Initial experience with empirical research.

The remuneration is based on the collective agreement for public service employees (TV-L), planned according to personal requirements in pay group 13.
