This team is looking for you ...
You will join the 'Wind Measurement Analysis' group in Bremerhaven, focusing on developing measurement methods and interpreting data from wind lidar and radar technologies. The team of four values open exchange and collaboration beyond project boundaries and locations.

What you will do

  • Analyze wind measurement data from dual Doppler wind radar and temperature profiles from microwave radar systems using Python and/or MATLAB.
  • Develop understanding of fundamental measuring principles and methods.
  • Contribute expertise to research projects and manage existing projects.
  • Assist in acquiring new projects.
  • Present results at conferences and publish in scientific journals.

What you bring to the table

  • Master's or diploma in Natural Sciences or Engineering, focusing on Atmospheric Physics or Meteorology.
  • Knowledge of wind energy and experience with remote sensing and atmospheric measurement methods.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages.
  • Optional: experience in project management, project acquisition, academic publishing, and German/English language skills.
