MAIN TASKS
As a research assistant, you will be responsible for setting up a research focus in the areas of building energy technology or sustainable construction / digitalization and AI in building technology at TC Mainburg. This includes researching current issues, creating a topic map, developing and identifying research projects, organizing the internal and external exchange of knowledge and experience and developing a doctoral project in the research area of building energy technology. In addition to acquiring third-party funding in collaboration with (international) partners and expanding the research network in the Global South, you will be involved in researching and identifying suitable research tenders and third-party funding providers. You will also support the preparation and formulation of research proposals and the acquisition of (international) project partners based on the research focus. In addition, you will provide support in scientific publication activities and participate in teaching, particularly in the design of suitable courses. The opportunity to do a doctorate is generally given and actively supported.
YOUR PROFILE
You have a university degree (Diploma Uni / Master) in building and energy technology, applied computer science or a comparable field. You already have practical experience in the planning and implementation of building technology and have knowledge of building automation. You also have an understanding of current scientific and technological developments in building technology.
Knowledge of national and international funding mechanisms and funding legislation as well as an interest in research cooperation with the Global South are desirable. In addition, you have programming skills, presentation, moderation and workshop techniques, very good written and spoken English and are a team player with a high degree of creativity. Independent and goal-oriented action as well as an above-average level of ambition round off your profile.
