The University of Rostock invites applications for a Research Assistant (m/f/d) in Quantum Science in Rostock. The role focuses on theoretical work on waveguide polaritons and integration with 2D crystals in photonics, within the SFB 1477 LiMaTi project.

Qualifikationen

• Completed university degree in Theoretical Physics with very good results.
• Very good knowledge of theoretical quantum optics and condensed-matter theory.
• Experience with statistical inference methods is welcome.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment is essential.
• Very good English language skills.

Aufgaben

• Independent research on the theoretical description of waveguide polaritons in hybrid integrated photonics structures as part of subproject W02.
• Integrate 2D crystals and waveguide circuits; active components and versatile exciton spectroscopy with CRC 1477 LiMaTi.
• Develop theory of nonlinear polariton interactions.
• Numerical evaluation of mode structures in laser-written photonic surface waveguides.
• Develop detection protocols for nonlinear phase shifts.
• Optimize waveguide polariton interaction through statistical inference.
• Support data analysis from experiments within the CRC subproject W02.
