The Chair of Management Control (Prof. Dr. Erik Strauss) at ESCP Business School, Campus Berlin has a vacancy for a position starting on April 1st, 2025 or later.

About the Role

The research at our chair focuses on the influence of new technologies – especially artificial intelligence – on management control and corporate decision-making. Methodologically, we work both qualitatively and quantitatively. We offer courses in management control and management accounting in various degree programs.

You will support our team in research, teaching, administrative tasks, and projects with corporate partners. You will be actively involved in research, publication, and corporate projects in the areas of artificial intelligence in management control and have the opportunity to participate in international conferences and workshops.

The position is combined with doctoral / PhD studies within ESCP’s structured doctoral programme (Dr. rer. pol.).

Requirements

You have completed a degree in business administration/management/economics with a focus on management control, business informatics, business psychology, or accounting with very good grades. You are enthusiastic about scientific work and empirically oriented research projects. Knowledge of relevant empirical research methods is desirable. In addition, you should have very good English skills. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
