Within the Machine Learning Group at the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Data Science in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, a full-time Research Assistant position is available for an earliest possible appointment for a limited period of 36 months. There is an option to extend the contract. Payment will be according to pay group 13 TV‑L Wissenschaft. The position is suitable for part-time employment.
The focus is on developing novel Graph Neural Network (GNN) algorithms to address challenges in dynamics, oversmoothing, or expressivity, with applications in predicting molecule properties, optimizing PCB schematics, or solving power grid problems.
Tasks will support the preparation of a doctorate, habilitation, or equivalent qualification.
We offer an exciting research topic in a growing field, a collaborative work environment, access to a dedicated computing cluster (BRAIN), and support from the Machine Learning Group in Greifswald.
