Job Description:
Main responsibilities:
  • Participation in research and teaching (4 semester hours per week) of the research group
  • Research and teaching in the area of sensor data fusion, distributed state estimation, and autonomous robotic systems
  • Documentation, publication, and presentation of research results

The opportunity to pursue a PhD is given and is supported accordingly.

Requirements for the position:
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a related subject
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Distributed and decentralized information processing
    • Sensor data fusion, sensor networks
    • Kalman filtering, Bayesian inference
  • Machine learning in robotic applications
  • Experience in robot programming
  • Proficiency in the German and English language (spoken and written)
  • High self-motivation, team working skills, and readiness for interdisciplinary work
  • Experience in teaching and organization of lectures is an advantage

This is a fixed-term position, initially until 28.02., but can be potentially extended.
