We are seeking to fill the following position as a part-time (30 hours)
Research Associate in Biology (m/f/d)
What can you expect:
- Preparation of proposals in cooperation with the Maritime Projects team and project partners from industry and science
- Responsible for organisation and coordination of all funding related tasks as content and deadlines
- Researching and analysing funding programmes for maritime projects at EU, federal and state level
- Supporting the planning and implementation of projects in the field of aquaculture and nature restoration
- Data processing and statistical data analysis, documentation of work
- Preparation of regular project progress reports for the funding authority
- Possibility to prepare scientific publications
- Participation in national and international project meetings, conferences, workshops (incl. preparation of presentations)
What you bring with you:
- You have a university degree in biology or a related field
- Three years of professional experience in a relevant field
- You enjoy working independently but also within a team to find solutions together
- You are flexible and motivated to familiarise yourself with new topics in an interdisciplinary manner, have a talent for organisation and maintain an overview even in challenging phases
- You are cooperative and have a good level of social skills, including in an international environment with different mentalities and cultures
- Your level of English is at least B1 and German C2
- Ideally you have experience in project acquisition
- Ideally, you are familiar with interdisciplinary collaboration and EU project work and are part of a matching network

The position with a working time of 30 hours per week offers a high degree of organisational freedom. It is to be filled at short notice and is initially limited until June 2026. A further extension is possible depending on the approved projects.
