Jobbeschreibung

The Federal Court of Justice - Karlsruhe Office - is seeking to fill the following position as soon as possible:

Position: Information Security Officer (f/m/d)

This position is limited to two years. The Federal Court of Justice aims to revise and establish an information security management system (ISMS).

The main responsibilities include:

  1. Participation and coordination in developing, updating, enacting, and implementing an information security concept and guidelines, including quality management related to IT security, secret protection, and sabotage protection;
  2. Conducting protection requirement analyses with internal departments;
  3. Applying risk management methods and developing processes for IT risk management and emergency response;
  4. Leading the establishment of an ISMS and participating in IT security, business continuity, and risk management areas;
  5. Advising management and departments on information security, including project participation;
  6. Preparing and implementing awareness and training measures on information security;
  7. Acting as an IT secret protection/sabotage protection officer;
  8. Analyzing IT security incidents;
  9. Reporting on information security status to management, BSI, and external bodies.

We seek candidates with:

  1. University degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH) or Bachelor) or comparable qualification in relevant fields (e.g., computer science, engineering, natural sciences) with professional IT/security experience;
  2. Certification in IT security (e.g., ISO 27001, BSI IT basic protection) and knowledge of classified information directive (VSA) or secret protection;
  3. Experience with management systems, ideally ISMS according to BSI or ISO 27001, risk management, BCM, or ISO 9000 series;
  4. Strong professional references and ability to work independently and responsibly;
  5. Excellent communication skills in German, team-oriented, motivated, and able to work under pressure;
  6. Experience with external service providers, project management, and audits is advantageous.

The position offers employment under the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD Bund) or as a civil servant up to pay grade A 13, including a supreme court allowance of €275 gross/month. The role requires a security check under the Security Check Act (SÜG).
