SALARY Grade 9 £36960 - £38805 per annum
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and customer-focused individual, who can fulfil this challenging but rewarding role within the Council's Housing Repairs team.
In this role you will spend the majority of your time visiting properties to inspect required repairs or defects. You will use your strong communication skills to liaise with tenants and leaseholders in regards to repairs in their home, including providing full explanations of work required, and realistic timescales for completion.
Using the knowledge you have gained from working in a similar role, you will ensure correct diagnosis of repair issues, and trades and materials required to complete the work, so that work can be completed at first visit. Working with the wider Repairs team to ensure that work is booked, you will promptly record outcome of inspections on the housing management system, providing detailed notes and photographs.
You will also raise works orders for external contractors for specialist works or urgent works that are unable to be completed in-house. You will build positive working relationships so that work is completed promptly and to a high standard.
