Scot JCB Group in Glasgow is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our team. You will visit customer sites across the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on our customers' machines to a high standard.

This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a competitive hourly rate plus overtime and bonus. You will support the Scot JCB group in delivering world-class service, training apprentices, and ensuring safety and quality on every job.

Qualifikationen

• Essential qualifications in construction plant, HGV or light vehicle
• Experience with diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics and transmissions
• Fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment

• Repairing and maintaining machines on customer sites to manufacturer specs
• Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines

• Submitting daily timesheets and job cards

We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a Service Engineer with Scot JCB you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on our customers machines to a high standard.

The Scot JCB Group is made up of Scot JCB, Scot Agri and Stewart Plant Sales.

Scot JCB has been supplying and servicing JCB machinery throughout Scotland and the North of England for over 60 years. We sold our first machine in 1956 and have grown into a highly specialised machinery distribution company operating through a network of 14 depots from Huntly in the North East of Scotland to Carnforth in Lancashire. Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer’s specification
• Attending breakdowns and fault finding on machines
• Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily
• Submitting daily timesheets and job cards
• Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department
• Working closely with the service supervisor
• Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers
• Carrying out inspections and repairs of machines at our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use
• Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine - and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ in Construction Plant / HGV / Light Vehicle etc (essential)Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
• The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment
• Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers
• Good IT skills
• A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work
