Job Description

Summary: The Renewal Account Executive manages Rocket Software clients and partners with a focus on maintaining and growing renewal rates and establishing partner/client relationships with an emphasis on customer retention and upsell opportunities. Responsibilities include communicating the maintenance value proposition, managing negotiations, writing proposals, and completing renewals before due date. They serve as the liaison between customers and Rocket teams to resolve escalated issues and maximize maintenance revenue. They are the primary owner of the contract renewal process, following established procedures and renewal sales strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Build long-term relationships with key customers (region/revenue size dependent) (50%)

  • Proactive and regular customer outreach
  • Profile and document customer information

Minimize cancellations / Maximize renewal revenue (25%)

  • Manage price increases during renewal process
  • Educate customers on support value
  • Negotiate renewals

Liaise with Rocket teams (10%)

  • Collaborate with Sales Account Executives on renewal issues

Cross/Upsell opportunities (15%)

  • Identify new capacity and cross-sell opportunities
  • Handle complex escalations
  • Monitor renewal metrics and success indicators
  • Forecast renewals and report pipeline status

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant business experience, with at least 2+ years in customer relationship management
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal; proficiency in German required
  • Experience with sales automation tools, preferably Salesforce.com

Annual salary range: €27,000 - €50,200 gross, depending on experience and competence. Salary specifics are determined based on candidate profile.
