Your Role

As an Information Security & Compliance Manager at RoomPriceGenie, you'll take on an exciting, fast-paced role at a rapidly growing B2B SaaS company. You'll work directly with the CTO and management. Your first major project will be to coordinate our efforts to obtain ISO27001 certification.

1. Drive our security strategy and roadmap: Develop and implement practical, scalable security and compliance policies and procedures that align with our rapid growth and business objectives.
2. Lead our security and compliance efforts: Proactively identify and mitigate security risks across our infrastructure, applications, and data.
3. Be the go-to person: Manage stakeholders such as internal and external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities like those in Germany.
4. Architect and implement security solutions: Evaluate, deploy, and manage security tools and technologies, focusing on cloud security.
5. Navigate the compliance landscape: Ensure we meet relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices in a pragmatic manner.
6. Empower our teams with security awareness: Foster a security-first culture through engaging training and communication.
7. Lead incident response efforts: Develop and execute plans to handle security incidents effectively and learn from them.
8. Collaborate closely with the IT Ops team: Integrate security seamlessly into our IT landscape and lifecycle.
9. Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously research the latest threats and trends to strengthen our defenses.

Your Profile

1. You have a solid understanding of information security principles and best practices, with 1+ years of relevant experience, e.g., gained in Big4, IT consulting, or a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
2. We do not require someone highly senior since the hotel software industry has no specific regulations. Security is a top priority, and we want to demonstrate this to our customers.
3. You have solid experience with ISO27001 certification.
4. You're familiar with cloud security (AWS) and the security challenges of modern web applications.
5. You have a proven track record of implementing and managing security controls and technologies.
6. You're comfortable with risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
7. You're a strong communicator capable of explaining technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
8. You're fluent in English.
9. You have a proactive, hands-on mentality and are excited to build and shape security in a dynamic startup environment.
