Jobbeschreibung

Regulatory Affairs Specialist in Aviation
Regulatory Affairs Specialist in Aviation

We are a Drone Delivery Airline specializing in transporting medical goods for hospitals and laboratories.

After achieving the highest certification for drone operators in Europe, we began commercial operations for clinics in Bavaria in 2024. Now, we're expanding our services to more clinics across Germany.

Innovating within highly regulated environments is one of the most crucial parts of the business. To support our growth, we are looking to expand our regulatory team!

Skyflow is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment, welcoming personas from a wide range of backgrounds such as BIPOC, LGBTIQA, and those with varied personal experiences and histories.

About the role

We’re seeking a driven Regulatory Affairs Specialist to strengthen our compliance efforts and support our next phase of growth. In this role, you’ll become our in-house expert on drone regulations, shaping strategies and directly interacting with regulatory authorities to drive impactful results.

As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist you will:

Lead Regulatory Documentation

You’ll create clear, structured documentation – both internally and externally – for securing new approvals as well as managing safety and compliance procedures. Your detail-oriented and systematic approach ensures our documentation meets high regulatory standards, supporting our continued growth.

Built Smart, Automated Processes

You’ll actively contribute in designing and implementing digital, scalable workflows for regulatory documentation and compliance tracking. We're at the beginning of this journey, so you’ll have the freedom to explore and integrate new tools that streamline processes and keep us at the forefront of digital regulation. A special focus will lie on the interface with our Operations team – especially our drone pilots – to ensure regulatory workflows align seamlessly with daily operational practices.

Stay Ahead of Regulatory Trends

You’ll actively monitor evolving drone regulations, keeping our team updated on the latest requirements. By translating regulatory changes into actionable product and business adjustments, you’ll ensure continuous compliance and proactively identify new opportunities for innovation.

Drive Innovative Compliance Solutions

You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, advocating for our vision and collaboratively finding creative, compliant solutions. Given the emerging nature of drone regulations, you’ll have the opportunity to propose fresh approaches, address open regulatory questions, and take ownership of decisions that shape our product and business long-term.

We believe in continuously reflecting on ourselves and rapidly iterating based on what we learn. Your role is not just about making contributions – your decisions will significantly impact our product and business for the long term.

About you

To be a fit for the role, you do not necessarily need to have prior experience with drone or aviation regulation. We are looking for someone, who preferably:

  • is based in Berlin and has a permanent residence or work permit, or is open to relocate to Berlin.
  • has at least 1 year of work experience.
  • holds a degree in law, business law, engineering or a related field, or has relevant experience in aviation regulation.
  • thrives working in a small and accountable team. Particularly, you have an appreciative way of working with team members.
  • enjoys independence, takes ownership, and can comfortably operate in uncertainty.
  • demonstrates strong analytical skills, legal reasoning, attention to detail, and a structured, diligent way of working.
  • effectively prioritizes tasks and implements compliance measures pragmatically, balancing thoroughness with efficiency.
  • is comfortable working with digital tools and supports the automation of regulatory workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • has a profound interest in aviation regulation and drone technology.
  • has proficient written and verbal communication skills in German and English.

This list not only outlines our ideal candidate but also serves as an inspiration for what this role can evolve into. Even if you don’t meet all the requirements but have passion and spirit for this position, we encourage you to apply. We're excited to hear from people who share our enthusiasm!

  • You work closely with our Founders and will be part from the very beginning of a fast-growing tech startup.
  • Work on state of the art technology and help to create a product that will revolutionize medical transportation.
  • Opportunity to wear many hats, and grow with the business.
  • All our early staff have the possibility of being taught to become commercial drone pilots.
  • Salary band of €60-80.000, depending on seniority (all genders receive equal pay for equal work).
  • 28 days of vacation a year – because it’s important to switch off.
  • Modern, centrally located office in Berlin (near Zionskirchplatz) with amenities like an excellent cafeteria, free drinks, and shower facilities.
  • Home Office – wherever possible, we offer the opportunity to work from home.
  • Flexible working hours – because it’s important to combine family and work well.
