Job Outline :

In regions where the Advanced Engineering Group (AEG) is established, a Regional Technical Manager (RTM) manages and coordinates the Field Application Engineer (FAE) team. The RTM acts as both manager and mentor, balancing supplier relations with guiding the team towards customer engagement. RTMs collaborate with Future’s Product Marketing Department and suppliers to identify suitable products and target markets, developing effective strategies and monitoring progress.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Establish processes to track opportunities from design to delivery, including a handover process to convert technical designs into registered resales.
2. Identify and review training needs for FAEs, tailoring development to individual team members.
3. Guide suppliers in producing training for Future sales teams to uncover opportunities within their customer base.
4. Monitor FAEs' performance against key company metrics (KPIs), ensuring visibility of these metrics.
5. Maintain the company's design database and manufacturer registration schemes to ensure eligibility for design incentive bonuses.
6. Implement the company's technical programs in accordance with established policies.
7. Stay informed on key supplier product releases and adapt strategies to capitalize on these before competitors do.

Candidate Requirements :

1. Professional qualification in an engineering-related field with at least five years of relevant experience in electronics or a related industry.
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
3. Commercially aware, highly organized, and self-motivated.
4. Ability to collaborate with sales management to develop customer-focused strategies, leveraging enabling technologies and FAE resources to drive profitable growth.
5. Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of representing the UK technical team to suppliers and EMEA management.
6. Comprehensive knowledge of electronics and/or the electronic distribution industry, including local markets and key drivers such as margins and supplier management.
7. Leadership skills, including mentoring, motivating, coaching, and developing team members.
