About Us:
At Tenneco, we’re on a mission. Guided by our Core Values and a winning mindset, we are committed to becoming the most trusted partner, manufacturer, and distributor in the transportation industry. What drives us? Our people are passionate changemakers who bring energy, dedication, and innovation to everything they do.
In this role, you’ll be part of a team that thrives on excellence and continuous improvement, with a sharp focus on delivering value to our customers, because when they succeed, we all do. We'd love to have you on board if you're ready to make a meaningful impact and grow within a constantly evolving company. Are you ready to drive what's next?
Role can be located anywhere in Europe.
Who are you?
• Lean Culture Ambassador: You lead by example, cultivating a Lean culture across all plants under your scope. You pursue the true north star. You believe there is always a better way to run our supply chain — and you live by it. You challenge the status quo daily, pushing us to be better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today.
• Supply Chain Strategist: You co-develop the strategic roadmap for your region’s supply chain, adapted to plant maturity and complexity. You leverage and enrich our supply chain playbook to scale initiatives that deliver breakthrough SQDC results.
• Team Coach: With boots on the ground, at Gemba, you are constantly present at the point of impact, shape mindsets with clarity, train with purpose, and coach with conviction. You set the tone and mindset for roles impacted by transformation. Around you, people understand that we either win or learn — but we prefer to win :)
• Process-Oriented Leader: You know when to enforce process discipline and when to drive experimentation. You guide teams through the right balance of agility and standardization to achieve the future state at the site level and across central functions. You are the regional source of technical lean skillset to establish processes.
• Data-Driven Decision-Maker: You trust data, and you expect others to do the same. But you also understand that speed matters. When full visibility isn’t possible, you make informed calls backed by the best available evidence. You balance analysis with action, using data as your compass, not a crutch.
Who will you set to win, and how will you do that?
• Supply Chain Managers: You will coach Site Supply Chain leaders on foundational practices such as Daily Management, Visual Management, Problem Solving, and Action Planning. You will also support them in structuring and executing KPI management routines, shaping project pipelines tied to their Value Stream Maps (VSMs), and facilitating workshops and kaizens aligned to their VSM-based continuous improvement roadmaps.
• Customer Planning Team: You will work closely with the Customer Planning team to develop and implement processes from the ground up. This includes driving improvements in demand planning, capacity management, production scheduling, and weekly S&OE. You will also establish internal production pull systems, address WIP and FG inventory reduction challenges, and enhance overall delivery performance within the SQDC framework.
• Supply Planning Team: You will collaborate with the Supply Planning team to optimize the conversion of production schedules into supplier orders. You will work together to track incoming materials, maintain optimal raw material inventory levels, streamline logistics inbound routes, and reduce lead times in partnership with procurement, logistics, and customs, helping to mitigate global supply risks and strengthen supplier relationships.
• Material Handling Team: You will partner with the Material Handling team to support both Shop Floor Operations and Data Integrity. This includes ensuring safety and optimizing replenishment routes, operator conveyance, packing, shipping, and packaging control. You will also work on improving inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, BOM verification, and collaborating with finance for inventory reporting. Additionally, you will work closely with Industrial Engineering to optimize layout designs and operational processes.
What’s going to be your legacy?
1. Driving Record-Breaking Supply Chain Performance: You will lead the elimination of inefficiencies across the supply chain. You will eliminate the 7 wastes — will drive databacked initiatives that will unlock end-to-end value and set all-time performance records in customer satisfaction, delivery rates, inventory optimization, inventory accuracy, logistics cost reduction, and lead time reduction.
2. Taking Our Tenneco P3 Operating System to the Next Level: You will be at the forefront of transforming how we operate. Through relentless coaching, disciplined deployment, and strong cross-functional engagement, you will accelerate the maturity of our P3 Operating System — moving sites from foundational to Bronze, Bronze to Silver, and Silver to Gold. Operational excellence will not be a goal — it will be a standard. You will also be instrumental in developing and embedding the Supply Chain pillar within our P3 model, ensuring that supply chain excellence is fully integrated into how we operate.
3. Building a Better-than-Best-in-Class Supply Chain: Your ultimate legacy will be designing and shaping a supply chain that doesn’t just match best-in-class standards— it redefines them. Through your leadership, mindset, and relentless pursuit of improvement, you will leave behind a system that others look to imitate.
