Job Overview : As a Regional Sales Manager for the Public Sector, your main responsibility will be to drive sales within the German-speaking public market. You will develop and execute sales strategies, build relationships with key clients, collaborate with existing and new partners including HPE, local SIs, and VARs, and manage public sector frameworks.

Our sales approach is consultative, focusing on understanding customer workflows and designing optimal storage architectures. Support is provided by a regional team of senior Sales Engineers and Channel Managers to develop the partner ecosystem. We seek self-driven, confident, ambitious, and motivated sales professionals with experience in storage infrastructure and software solutions, and who excel in working with channel partners, hardware vendors, and ISVs.

Your ultimate goal is to meet revenue targets, acquire new customers, and establish a predictable, repeatable business model.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Sales Strategy Development : Develop and implement a sales strategy for the public sector aligned with company goals. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitors.
  2. Account Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential enterprise customers. Tailor solutions to meet their needs.
  3. Partners and Alliances : Cultivate relationships with key partners and alliances, ensuring regular communication to develop pipelines and mutual business.
  4. New Business Development : Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and new clients. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline for consistent revenue.
  5. Sales Forecasting and Reporting : Track sales activities, monitor progress, and report to senior management. Provide accurate sales and revenue forecasts.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Share insights to inform product and marketing strategies.

Qualifications :

  • 5-10 years in enterprise infrastructure sales, with 3+ years in enterprise storage, especially large-scale solutions (~Petabyte scale).
  • Proven success in selling complex deals (>3M/year) to line-of-business customers.
  • Existing network focused on public sector customers in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
  • Experience working with VARs and SIs.
  • Passion for customer support, technical and financial solution optimization.
  • Strong sales acumen, with success in acquiring new accounts and public sector clients.
  • Ability to balance daily activities with strategic relationship development.
  • Experience in global, multicultural organizations, balancing startup culture with local business nuances.
  • Continuous personal development in technical and business skills, with awareness of new markets and use cases.
  • Native German speaker and fluent in English.
