The Asian region with its 11 subsidiares and a strong dealer network in other Asian countries is a steadily growing market and of great importance to the group. The Regional Sales Director Asia (m/f/d)is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving sales and business growth in Asia.

Your Responsibilites:
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy and business plan specifically for surface coating measurement instruments in the Asian market to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential growth opportunities, industry trends, and the competitive landscape within the surface coating measurement instrument sector.
  • Sales Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of sales professionals (General Managers) operating across multiple Asian countries providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to expand the company's market presence and drive customer satisfaction in the surface coating measurement instrument domain.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and collaborations to enhance market penetration and revenue generation specifically for surface coating measurement instruments.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and provide regular reports and updates to the Vice President of Global Sales and Service, highlighting key trends and opportunities.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Collaborate with the General Managers to develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets for surface coating measurement instruments, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
Your Qualifications:
  • Expertise: A successful track record in sales leadership and business development within the capital investment equipment industry, quality assurance or measurement instrument industry, preferably in an Asian context. The basis for your broad experience builds on a bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, optics or a related field; an MBA or equivalent master qualification is preferred.
  • Passion: Strong leadership abilities to inspire and motivate a sales team, guiding them to achieve targets and objectives in the surface coating measurement instrument domain.
  • Listen & Understand: Proficiency in analyzing sales data, market trends, and financial reports to make informed business decisions related to the product portfolio. Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies based on these findings, identify untapped market opportunities, and drive business growth specifically for surface coating measurement instruments.
  • Appreciation & Respect: Understanding of cultural nuances and ability to interact respectfully in different cultural contexts. This is based on your experience working in a global or international sales environment, with an understanding of business practices across Asia in machinery, electronics, optics or measurement instrument domain.
  • Trust & Commitment: Exceptional relationship management skills to establish and nurture long-term partnerships with customers, distributors, and other key stakeholders in the surface coating measurement instrument sector.Your excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English enable effective communication with diverse stakeholders within the industry.
  • Willingness to travel within Asia as required by business needs, specifically to support sales activities related to the promotion of the product portfolio.
