Job summary

CEVA Logistics seeks a Regional Manager Aerospace Central Germany based in Frankfurt to provide leadership and accountability for the aerospace division in the region. You will drive commercial strategy, quality, and team development while strengthening customer relationships and network partnerships.

You will manage P&L, oversee station closing, and steer procurement and invoicing. The role requires travel and close collaboration with sales, operations, and Controlling to ensure sustainable

• Experience in a leadership role within freight forwarding.
• Strong commercial understanding, especially in P&L steering and procurement/negotiation.
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership for the aerospace team in the region.
• Own station P&L and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee month-end closing and review relevant data.
• Central procurement and renegotiation of subcontracted services.
• Govern all invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Act as escalation point for issues and customer escalations.
• Coordinate with operations, IBS and sales; liaise with Controlling, Accounting, Import/Export Management.
• Travel for customer visits with sales and to partners.
• Build and expand relationships within the network and align with other regional managers.

YOUR MISSION: LEADERSHIP AND ACCOUNTABILITY

As Regional Manager Aerospace Central Germany (m/f/d) based in Frankfurt, you hold full disciplinary and functional responsibility for the aerospace organization in your region. Your focus is not day-to-day operations but leadership, commercial steering and quality: ensuring smooth and economically sound, while developing your team and strengthening our position with customers and network partners.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the assigned team, including working time management and staff development
• Full P&L accountability for the station: monitoring the earnings situation and initiating corrective measures in case of deviation
• Ownership of the station's month-end closing and review of all closing-relevant data
• Central purchasing and renegotiation of all subcontracted services (carriers, hauliers, warehouse providers)
• Governance of incoming service provider invoices and accountability for timely payment of outgoing invoices
• Escalation point for fundamental issues and for customer escalations requiring management attention
• Interface between operations, IBS and sales; key contact for Controlling, Accounting, Import and Export Management
• Customer visits together with sales (existing customer care) and business trips to customers and partners in coordination with sales
• Building and expanding relationships within our network
• Regular exchange and alignment with the other Regional Managers

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed commercial training in freight forwarding and logistics (Kaufmann/-frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung), ideally with further qualification (Betriebswirt HWF / Fachrichtung Logistik) or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in a leadership position within the freight forwarding industry
• Sound commercial understanding, particularly in P&L steering and procurement/negotiation
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
• Proficient in MS Office
• Dangerous goods training (Gefahrgutschulung) or willingness to obtain it
• Willingness to travel
