Qualifikationen

Job Description:

Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) therapies – great-developed products of Edwards Lifesciences – supported by extensive customer training and service, our SAPIEN family of transcatheter aortic heart valves are the most widely prescribed transcatheter heart valves in the world.

As a Regional Field Clinical Specialist, you are a key member of the THV field team in Germany, working closely with heart centers, physicians, and hospital staff to provide clinical support for Edwards’s TAVI procedures. You possess deep product knowledge and a clear understanding of heart pathophysiology and aortic stenosis patients. You represent Edwards to physicians and patients.

Experience working in sterile environments (OR, Catch Lab, Hybrid OR) assisting during procedures or previous experience as a Field Clinical Specialist in medical devices is preferred. We are ready to train you on TAVI!

Possible candidate locations: from Hanover to Berlin. Travel within the region will be required.

How you will make an impact:
  • Edwards’s product & portfolio knowledge: Be a clinical and technical expert, a thought leader for physicians regarding Edwards products and disease understanding. Be a trusted partner in your region for technical and clinical product matters. Use your knowledge to drive territory performance.
  • Disease & therapy knowledge: Be an expert in aortic stenosis, a trusted resource for implanters and customers on device utilization.
  • Clinical data expertise: Apply your understanding of clinical research to interpret data and relate it to patient treatment options.
  • OR/Cath Lab management: Support procedures in the Cath lab/OR, prepare devices, demonstrate leadership during stressful procedures, and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Imaging expertise: Read and interpret imaging data (echocardiography, CT scans) to support clinical decisions and procedure planning.
  • Business Acumen: Understand the business, competitor products, and use financial metrics to achieve goals.
  • Customer Leadership: Build relationships, provide training, and support certification of centers, physicians, and staff.
  • Teamwork and Leadership: Work independently and as part of a team, share best practices, and support physicians and colleagues.

What you'll need:

  • A nursing background or related degree with clinical/technical training experience. Recent graduates with 2-3 years experience are welcome.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and good English.
  • Experience working in Cath lab or OR.
  • Active driver with a company car provided.
  • Proven ability to meet customer/patient expectations and resolve complex cases.
  • Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, professionalism, adaptability, and confidence in using communication tools and MS Office.
  • Nice to have: proficiency with echocardiographic equipment and understanding of cardiac anatomy (training available).
