Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) therapies – great-developed products of Edwards Lifesciences – supported by extensive customer training and service, our SAPIEN family of transcatheter aortic heart valves are the most widely prescribed transcatheter heart valves in the world.

As a Regional Field Clinical Specialist, you are a critical part of the THV field team in diverse regions in Germany that works closely with heart centres, physicians, and hospital staff to provide clinical support for Edwards’s TAVI procedures. As the clinical expert, you have deep product knowledge and a clear understanding of heart pathophysiology and aortic stenosis patients. You are the face of Edwards to physicians and patients.

Do you have experience working in sterile environments (OR, Catch Lab, Hybrid OR) assisting during diverse procedures or already having experience as a Field Clinical Specialist in medical devices? We are ready to train you on TAVI!

Possible candidate locations: from Hanover to Berlin. Traveling within the region will be required.

How you will make an impact :

1. Edwards’s product & portfolio knowledge : A THV Field Clinical Specialist has a detailed understanding of Edwards products and services. You act as a clinical and technical expert, a thought leader for physicians regarding the product and disease. You are a trusted partner in your region, employing innovative ways to drive territory performance.
2. Disease & therapy knowledge : You are an expert in aortic stenosis, with extensive knowledge of the disease and patient condition. You are a trusted resource for implanters and customers on device utilization.
3. Clinical data expertise : You understand the latest clinical research and can interpret clinical data relating to treatment options, linking research to real patient scenarios.
4. OR / Cath Lab management : You provide support during procedures, react quickly to unexpected situations, and demonstrate situational leadership. You are familiar with OR/Cath lab processes and can communicate effectively with the team.
5. Imaging expertise : You can interpret echocardiography, CT scans, and other imaging data, supporting clinical decisions on valve choice and size.
6. Business Acumen : You communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, understand competitor products, and work with your territory manager to meet business goals.
7. Customer Leadership : You maintain foundational customer relationships, provide education and training, and optimize patient flow and journey.
8. Teamwork and Leadership : You work independently and as part of a team, sharing best practices and supporting physicians and staff with advice and coaching.

What you'll need :

1. A nursing background or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with clinical/technical training. Young talents with 2-3 years of experience are welcome.
2. Excellent communication skills in German and advanced English, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
3. Experience working in Cath labs and/or operating rooms.
4. Active driver’s license; company car provided.
5. Proven excellence in customer/patient service and problem-solving skills.
6. Self-motivation and a desire to impact patients’ lives.
7. Professional, ethical, and adaptable to high-stress environments.
8. Comfort with modern communication tools and MS Office; willingness to learn new software.
9. Nice to have: proficiency in echocardiographic equipment and strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology (training provided).
